I feel like this was my first semester as a serious furniture major at MCAD. I can't say it was easy, because it most certainly wasn't, but I think I've made some of my best work so far! Still a little bit more documentation photography to format and get posted up here but other than that everything else I've made this semester is posted and ready for viewing. Here I am.

I realized it has been awhile since I wrote a journal to pass the time, and I certainly have plenty of time to pass, so here goes. I'm back at school, living in the dorms. Got a studio space- not quite as roomy as the one I had last semester, but I'm right next to a senior student who I find very inspiring and great to ask for opinions on work, so that's good. It'll be sad once he graduates though :( Working in the shop at school now, I love it there. It is nice to actually be helpful to people. Don't get me wrong, work-study at the media center was good times, but I really was out of my element and our patrons up there could be so rude! Do

So we (my father and myself) cleaned out the lower story garage (with all but a few exceptions) and transformed the space into materials storage and workshop space for me. Let me tell you, it is so nice to have a personal workspace. So. Nice. Using this new space (along with some of my plundered booty from recycling day at MCAD) I've started the first of my summer projects, which is going to be a terrain model for my friends war-games. Here's the plan- 6 2'x2' square tiles with static city terrain. hypothetically for use with Warhammer 40k's 'Death City' rules. I figured being modular would help not only with transportation and storage,
